Lilianfels is the premier accommodation in the Blue Mountains and it has just introduced a premier cooking class at its historic Darleys Restaurant.
Hugh Whitehouse, Executive Chef at award winning Darleys Restaurant at Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort and Spa, hosted his first series of cooking classes in May 2005. Whitehouse shares his passion and knowledge with a small group of lucky participants over three days in the Darleys kitchen.
With the focus on local seasonal produce, participants not only spend time in the kitchen, but also tour Jannei Goats Farm, a local Trout Farm, and enjoy a sunset picnic in historic Little Hartley (dependent on weather and season). With a class maximum of eight, the intimacy of a small group ensures that Whitehouse can give one on one attention to each participant. The three day course includes introductory canaps & drinks and a three course dinner in Tre Sorelle Restaurant. Day two involves cooking classes in the morning, followed by a lunch of your own creation.
The afternoon is spent touring Jannei Goats Farm and surrounding areas complete with a picnic hamper for sunset. On day three, return to the kitchen, then savour your cooking over lunch. Dinner on the final evening is an extravagant affair of five courses in a private room at Darleys.
