The newest watersport attraction in Cairns opened its doors in April 2005 and is one of only three cable ski parks in Australia! Locally owned and operated by professional wakeboarders and water skiers, the Cable Ski Cairns park is open from 10am - 6pm every day of the week, including public holidays.
Kangaventure is a 30 minute scenic drive from Cairns. This scenic property consists of pristine Rainforest bordering open Eucalypt Woodland and natural streams.
The Saloon and Grill Restaurant and Kangaroo Sanctuary overlook the tranquil Billabong. The park caters for Group Tours and is used by the local public for functions, parties and special events. Camping facilities are also available. Visitors can play paintball, join a 4WD hummer tour, ride a horse, or jump on one of the many motor vehicles - dirt bikes, ATV's, Bush buggies or 4WD dirt bikes
Go Karting is one sport where normal road rules don't exist. You can jam the accelerator down hard forget about using the brakes and hold on for a thrilling ride. Hire Kart circuit is a genuine race track! It is 411m long and 7m wide with a fine asphalt surface.
The AMB electronic time lapping system (up to 1/1000th second) delivers a precise print-out of drivers, kart numbers, race position, best and average lap times, maximum and average speeds.
The Hire Kart circuit features a high degree of safety with difficult corners marked with plastic safety barriers. There is a star rating system to determine what type of Kart you can manage - there are six different classes. The first class has a top speed of about 55kph and yes - class 6 is that really fast one!!
