Sonia Kruger grew up on the Gold Coast. Known as 'The Goldie' to locals and only 80k's from Brisbane this is one of Australia's fastest growing cities.

The other famous aussie born on the Gold Coast is the bikini! Yes, the GC is where the first ever two piece swim suit was created. Paula Stafford came up with the concept in 1936, when she was given a swimsuit by her Aunty, Paula simply asked if she could cut it in halfand the rest is history.

The 'Q1' is the world's tallest residential tower, at 323m, is not easy to miss on the famous Gold Coast skyline. With 80 floors, and observation decks of the 77th and 78th floors, 'Q1' is the perfect place to take in views of the entire Gold Coast.

Tedder Avenue, located just behind the high rises, is where Sonia recommends visitors go shopping. After shopping up a storm, Luxes VIP Champagne Salon adds some extra class to the Gold Coast, located on Broadbeach, its where Sonia takes all her visitors to taste different champagnes and generally unwind.
