Fountainhead is located in
Maleny, near the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland. It is an organic working farm, as well as a 'health learning centre' (rather than a health retreat). Over 1000 people have been through the retreat in its 3 years of operation, with a maximum of 16 guests at any one time.
The principles of the retreat are to gain the knowledge of healthy living, and be able to take these away and use them in everyday life.
Fountainhead caters for a range of healthy living programs, including a detox from everyday food, to a detox from everyday living (no television, newspapers, or even mobile phones). Art classes are available to ease the mind, and the hot mineral water baths draw the toxins out of the entire body. Bird watching and platypus tours are also available, as well as pamper packages, including full body mud massages.
Apart from the short stays, Fountainhead also offers boot camp, depression stay, Breuss cancer retreat and a 20 day change your life stay.
The organic farm offers a range of cooking classes. The cooking classes are open to both guests and public, and teach how to prepare ordinary organic food into extra-ordinary organic meals.
