The 6 day/5 night tour for families runs on the East Coast of Tassie.
This is a very scenic coastline with every turn providing a new opportunity to take a holiday snap. It all kicks off in the north east where there are long stretches of pure white beaches, rock formations and hidden secluded bays. This is off the well beaten tourist path and offers the family a unique taste of what Tassie's wilderness has to offer. Options up here include surfing or swimming on warmer days, walks along the
Bay of Fires, visiting a picturesque waterhole in a national park, petting a kangaroo at a wildlife sanctuary and canoeing in the waters at
Coles Bay. People can lose themselves in
Freycinet National Park, take a walk to the famous
Wineglass Bay and picnic on the secluded beaches while the kids make sandcastles. A visit to
Swansea, for scrumptious ice cream at
Kate's Berry Farm followed by a visit to traffic-free
Maria Island. Then people head back to
Hobart for a final day to explore the
Salamanca Market before heading home.
